I have walked extensively in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales over the years, I have climbed the Welsh 3,000'ers in Snowdonia and spent a glorious week on the Isle of Skye climbing and scrambling on the Cullin Ridge.
I completed my last Wainwright - Kirk Fell in the company of my grandson Jack on the 17th of December 2006. I then undertook another challenge along with my good friend Gerry Ball, to walk as many peaks in the Yorkshire Dales as we could find.
I took up mountain biking around 11 years ago, my right hip had started playing up and I was finding it increasingly difficult to walk on it especially over long distances. I found it great fun and a new challenge, there are a few of my exploits in the form of videos here on site. Then in 2015 I eventually had my right hip replaced, it did take rather a long while for me to recover fully from that but eventually in 2017 I was able to climb Pendle Hill in Lancashire with my son Rob and old walking buddy Geoff. |

Another of my favourite pastimes is Motorcycling, I am a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists and take road safety very seriously. I enjoy riding in most places but the Yorkshire Dales are probobly my favourite. There are a few of my videos here on site. |
